A Day & Life in Mount Happy - About Life in a Small Town Election Day 2013 Comes and Goes Yes friends from Mount Happy it was a relatively quiet week here on the banks of the Catawba.......there were tough decisionsto be made over who to select to the City Council; yes we have one here since we are part of the democracy. As I made my way to the Senior Citizens Center to ast my vote, the hardest decision I had to make was which No. 2 pencil to use on my paper ballot....yes, friends we have paper ballots in Mount Happy and I had to weat through the tutorial on how it worked it had been so long having come from electronic voting machines in Charlotte. Im glad I havent lost my cognitive ability to understand the instructions that were given to me. I wore my I VOTED proudly on Tuesday and I hope you did too........and thats the news from Mount Happy, where all the women are strong, all the men good looking and all the children just a little bit below averageeeeee!
