The City of East Jordan and the East Jordan Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering with the nonprofit organization WINGS OF WONDER to bring a live Bald Eagle Release to East Jordan! From the Wings Facebook page, here are the details: Wings of Wonder is inviting the public to our next raptor release. We will be releasing a beautiful female bald eagle on Saturday, February 15th, at Sportsmans Park in East Jordan. This 5-acre park is located just across the bridge from downtown East Jordan, where Lake Charlevoix and the Jordan River meet. The special event will begin promptly at 11:00 AM. Shuttle services will be offered free of charge from a remote parking area (more details forthcoming on this.) Don’t be late, allow plenty of time for parking, bring your camera and please leave the dog at home. Please help us spread the word by inviting your friends, family, fishing buddies, school pals, club members and any stranger you meet while out enjoying the beauty of winter.
