A Good Piece of Advice That You May Not Need: Put up a reply earlier on a thread where I mentioned a precious guitar I owned that was stolen from my home. Felt it appropriate for just a little reminder to my fellow musicians; one that many/most of you may not need, but please bear with me for those who havent taken such steps. Insure your equipment. Take pictures of ALL of your gear; keep those pictures safe somewhere. Make sure you include serial numbers whenever possible. Call your insurance company and make sure that they cover your gear and under what circumstances (example: Stolen from your car? 99% of the time youre hosed.....). Know YOUR insurance companys rules. Do they require a separate rider on your homeowners/renters policy to cover such losses? Thats usually required for jewelry and art.....but for some companies, that includes musical instruments. PROTECT yourself and your gear.....and it will probably shock you how inexpensive this usually is. Hope this helps someone. Youve all made significant investments in our passion.....the guitar. Protect that investment.
