A HEART OF GOLD Ahh, Little Crystal, She is a girl I met last week, and She is a Real Cutie.! She is 22yrs. old with a Heart of Gold. I saw her today and Mind You, Ive seen her only once before. But I fell for her at first sight. And when she saw me today, she cried out Chuuuck..!! Her face was all a glow.. You have no idea how great that made me feel.. What can I say,.. It Made My Day. So I sat down beside her at the Breakfast Counter and we began to talk like Old Friends.. I really like that about her. She is SO friendly. See,.. Ive been going through a tough time here lately. My Dad passed away last week. Im at odds with my neighbors after 3 yrs. of Loving Christian Fellowship. Ive been crushed, because we cant talk now. And I dont know why.. And,.. I had a Serious Blow-Up with a New Found Friend that I thought I was going to lose forever. Which Really hurt because we were Relating So Well. But it looks like WEVE managed to recover from that, Thank God.!! Ya know, you only get a handful of Good Friends in this Life. If youre Lucky.. So each one is Precious to me.. Anyway, Chrystals Grandmother was there and She reacted to my presents immediately.! I dont blame her. Crystal is so young and innocent. And she is Precious to her as well, I am sure. And not to mention the Obvious age difference. Im 61..! That kind of relationship is Rarely Okay.. If Ya know what I mean.? What can I say, We Like Each Other..! Fully understanding her apprehensions, I leaned in and introduced myself.. Hello Mam. My name is Chuck. Please dont be alarmed. Im a good guy. I mean your Granddaughter no harm. She and I met last week and we hit it off. I like her very much. That is all this is. Grandmother replied, Yes, I know, I just Checked You Out.! (she inquired about my reputation at the restaurant) Its fine with me. Im happy for you. Chrystal IS Great.! And, She likes you too, I can tell. I told her, Im glad you checked me out. Id want to protect her too. Anyway, She and I had a great time eating our breakfast.. She even gave me her bacon.! Im not supposed to eat beacon, but I could not refuse her gift. What Great Smile..! She is SO full of love.! And, MAN.!! I NEED ALL THE LOVE I CAN GET..! Heres the cool part.. Vickie, is my Waitress. Server.? (I dont know what they like to be called.!) Shes my friend too.. ANYWAYYY.. Vickie had said she was leaving early today because she had to take her husband to the Doctor. He has Heart issues. So Vickie was very busy trying to finish up so she could leave.. Well, I felt moved to pray for her and her husband. I leaned over and asked Chrystal if she would pray with me for Vickies husband. Then Grandma came up. And then Chrystals Dad.. I told Grandma, We are going to pray for Vickies husband, Would you like to join us.? She bowed her head.. I noticed Chrystal had had her head bowed this whole time.. How Sweet.!! She was patiently waiting with her eyes closed. It really moved me that she was SO ready to pray with me.. A Heart of Gold, I told you.. OH, oh, I forgot to mention, Chrystal is Mentally Handy-Capped. She has the mental status of a 7 or 8 yr. old child... Although I can see shes much more Mature than most people I know.. Myself included. Her Faith. Her willingness to Love. Her Innocent Beauty.. It Humbles Me. I Am Honored Shed Want to be My Friend.. Then Later, as she was leaving she hugged me So Hard it almost popped my eyes out.. I LOVE THIS LITTLE GIRL..!! Thank you God.. You know just what I need.!
