A Harsh Winter In Store For Natchitoches? Nov. 29, 9:30 AM CST --- I pour through the weather record book....and heres what I found regarding this mornings cold of 26 degrees... It was the coldest Nov. 29th since 2003 when 30 degrees was recorded. On Nov. 29, 1995, 30 degrees was recorded at the NWS coop station. Todays 26 degrees reading is the coldest daily reading in November since at least 1995. This month is also has the distinction of having the coldest monthly mean (52.3°F as of 8 a.m. CST on 11/28/13) since record keeping began in 1995 for this NWS cooperative weather station. We could be in for a long winter season.....
