A Heartfelt Prayer for Joel Osteen so if anyone has noticed there have been some discussions on my wall regarding Joel Osteen. many friends believe he is not a brother in Christ but a wolf in sheeps clothing. i do not. i believe he is my brother in Christ because he believes Jesus is the Son of God, that Jesus Rose from the Dead, that Jesus was seen by more than 500 people, and that Jesus is coming again. i believe he is my brother because he believes that Jesus is the only way to be saved. i believe he is my brother because not only does he believe these things but i see the fruit of love and charity in his life and in his words. i have since this discussion listened to more of his sermons. i have to be honest and say that he does not use the Name of Jesus Christ often. the first sermons i listened to he did clearly use the Name of Jesus, and attribute all blessings and changes, protection, favor and grace to Jesus Christ. then after listening to more, i realized that Joel does say *God* more than Jesus Christ. He does not speak of the cross but he does say what Jesus has done for us.... and it is not the central theme of his message; salvation is not. honestly, i believe we are all different. i believe, as i said, we all have different callings. i believe that we all have different abilities and different giftings given to us and sovereignly distributed by the Holy Spirit. i believe that when Joel says *God* of course he means our God the True God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; in Hebrew Elohim. i would like to pray for Joel Osteen right now and i hope that some of you will agree with me. i know that if i do (and im sure i do and say) things that are not edifying, Scripturally correct, i would want my brethren to pray for me. i know also that if i were veering off in a direction that was dangerous i would likewise want prayer and also LOVE from the Body of Christ. Lord Jesus, You see, You hear, You know everything that is said and being said about Joel Osteen. You know his heart, his calling and his life. Lord i have no idea why Joel does not use your Name more than he does, i dont even know how You Lord feel about that because he asks people at the end of every service to receive you, but i do know that many in the Body of Christ are beyond perplexed; many do not consider him a brother but a wolf who is outside of the faith. Lord, i do consider Joel my brother in Christ and i ask Lord that You would give him, in all his encouraging, in all his lifting up of peoples hopes, the ability and words to tie and connect every word of hope to You Lord Jesus, and every encouragement because of You Lord Jesus in such a clear way that people would know that You are God the Son Who Shed His Blood for their Sins, Who gives Eternal Life, Who has made them Righteous because and only because of their Faith in You. Give Joel the ability, the words, and the understanding to do that so that no hearer would stumble, and no one would have any doubt about Who Joel serves, Who he worships, Who he is speaking of, What He believes. I pray Lord that a hand picked brother in the Lord would come along side of Joel to help him understand the finished work on the cross so that Joel can express the Gospel simply and clearly that there would be no doubt in anyones mind and heart on what salvation means, what it is and how to receive it. I also pray that he and his wife would be open to help, open to discipleship in this area and desire to not cause anyone to stumble. I pray Lord that you would continue to bless Joel and that Your Love, Your Encouragement, Your Charity, Your Non-discriminatory Mercy would flow out of Joel Osteen for all peoples of all faiths in such a way where people would see Your Love and Your calling for everyone to REPENT and know that Jesus Christ truly is The Only Way to the Father, the Only Way to Be Saved and that there is No Other Name in Heaven or on the Earth by which men can be saved. I ask all these things for both Joel and Victoria Osteen and i am thanking You in faith that You hear this prayer and that Joel will grow in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ and in the understanding of the Finished Work of Christ. I also do pray this prayer for every Christian Pastor and Believer on earth because the Gospel is scarcely preached in simplicity and clarity and so many people are very confused. Thank You Lord that You Love us and That You are For us and Not Against us and that You have clearly said that anyone Who is FOR YOU is also NOT AGAINST YOU. in Jesus Name, amen. can i get some agreement?
