A LITTLE INSIGHT... Granville Plus Youth Arts Centre has been working with Camden Arts Centre as part of the Insight’s Project for the last two years, and as a result our members have secured places on Degree and Foundation Courses at Central St Martin’s College of Art and Design / Camberwell College of Art, and university degree courses in Graphic Design and Architecture. The Insights Project is for students who are interested in studying art / design courses at Higher Education, and we are delighted to be working together again this term to lead an introductory workshop as part of the Insight’s Project session for young people aged 16 – 19 (particularly those in Yr 12) or who are looking to apply to University. DATE: Thursday 20th June TIME: 6pm – 9pm VENUE: Granville Youth Arts Centre, 80 Granville Road, Kilburn, NW6 5RA Professional artists will work with young people to discuss topics such as choosing Universities, deciding on courses and thinking ahead to the types of careers available in the creative industries, and the workshop will include the following; - Meet the education team at Camden Arts Centre. - Individual tutorials looking at your work and discussing your ideas and interests. - Advice, guidance and discussion on important decisions to be made in Year 13. - A chance to sign up to our exciting programme of portfolio development workshops with students, graduates, artists and Universities. The session will include both discussions and practical activities, and participants will be invited to get further involved in the project, including taking part in trips and workshops with Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design later in the year.
