A MESSAGE TO 5th GRADE PARENTS: Dear 5th Grade Families: I have recently received word from Chicago Public School’s that HILA will not be able to expand until 2016 with Board Approval. I understand that this is difficult news to hear and that your children will have to transition to another school to complete their middle school experience. We will be holding a parent meeting later this month to discuss school options for our 5th grade families and support with the transition. A notice will be sent home to provide you with information regarding the school options meeting. To jumpstart the search process, I wanted to make you aware that there is a large school fair this weekend at McCormick Place. The school fair will take place on both Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Lakeside Center (2301 S. Lake Shore Dr). There will be a large amount of schools present (K-12), public and private, as well as charter and contract schools.
