A MOSAIC OF MEMORIES The way your young son and daughter held - TopicsExpress

A MOSAIC OF MEMORIES The way your young son and daughter held the shamus to light the Hanukah candles, the flames reflecting on their faces; the way your grandchild pointed the yad to the Torah to read it for the first time; the way you and your spouse locked eyes as you stepped under the chuppah….. At life’s most precious moments, you and your family recite a blessing, and through the years all those blessings become a mosaic of memories that bind you together. Blessings Terrace, the newest development to open at our Hollywood Hills location, will give you and your family the comfort of knowing that you will remain connected forever. A MOSAIC OF MEMORIES To learn more about Blessings Terrace and our unique property offerings, please contact Len Lawrence, General Manager, Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries at 800-600-0076 ext. 319 or [email protected]. Description of Blessings by the artist, Ruth Merritt English rendering of the Hebrew b’rakhot, are offered by Jews when fulfilling a mitzvah, which acknowledges the many occasions of life – including Shabbat and holidays ~ when and as they occur. B’rakhot may also be pronounced before experiencing a physical pleasure ~ eating or drinking, for example; or when witnessing a natural event, such as seeing a rainbow or hearing thunder. The Garden of Blessings Mosaic depicts occasions during the Jewish year when b’rakhot related to a special time are spoken. You will find: Shabbat, Pesach, Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, Tu B’shevat, Rosh HaShanah Yom Kippur, Shavuot and Simchat Torah. Hebrew phrases accompanying the symbols include: The priestly blessing: The Torah being presented by Moses to the people: And the entreaty at Neilah asking for the gates of prayer to remain open. The Cabbalist, R. Moses Cordovero, asserted that “every Hebrew letter has a spiritual soul.” His words are preserved along the Mosaic’s top and bottom margins. To receive our gift of an exclusive 11 x 14 signed print of the beautiful Blessings mosaic, ready for framing, please visit mountsinaiparks.org.
