A MPULUNGU house wife died at Mbala General Hospital after carrying her pregnancy for 13 months And the development has stirred a lot of suspicion among the family members claiming the incident to be stemming from rituals. Family sources disclosed that the victim who identity has been hidden from the media mate her fate at Mbala General Hospital soon after a clinical diagnosis that her pregnancy has been ruptured with remains of the placenta stuck inside her womb. According to family sources the deceased had three antenatal visits at Mpulungu health facility which proved that she was carrying a live baby for nine months but wondered on the delay of delivery prompting a visit to the health facility where her fetus was pronounced ruptured. Family sources who were in sombre state disclosed that it was strange that the victim failed to deliver in almost 13 months and therefore rushed her to the hospital. And health personnel have disclosed the development as normal saying it is not a traditional threat but resulted from spontaneous abnormalities in her last stages of pregnancy. However a clinical diagnosis and eventually death could not satisfy the victim’s family and therefore sought for a traditional consultation with the help of witch finders. Sources disclosed that the witch finder discovered that the victim had a superstitious items including a small plastic dish and two buga buga fish from lake Tanganyika insisting that the deceased and unborn baby was used for rituals prior to fishing season.
