A Message from The Word Among Us Translators and Distributors in Ukraine: Our country is really in danger. The approach of the presidential elections on May 25 is causing a lot of unrest. There have been especially tough confrontations in Donetsk and Lugansk. But Kharkov (where we are) is in danger too. The subway trains don’t stop at the stations in the centre of the city, because of the gatherings in the central square, at the monument to Lenin. There are skirmishes and scuffles. The regional council building is barricaded. It hurts to see how hate grows in the hearts of people: Russian towards Ukrainian and Ukrainian towards Russian. All society is divided. There is a big danger, too, that Russia will bring troops into our city. We are only 30 km from the Russian border. We ask that you pray for the unity of the Ukrainian people, for peace in our country, and that Ukraine itself will survive. Above all please pray that God will work a miracle of divine grace in the hearts of all people.
