**A NEW BEGINNING FOR NINA** And, a brand-new name for her, too. Meet Taya. Many of you met Taya yesterday here on our Facebook page. She was burned by the absolute worst of humanity. She is also pregnant. Sadly, we do not believe her babies have survived the trauma inflicted upon their mother. We will know for certain in a few days when she is feeling more up to a detailed x-ray and ultrasound. Right now, her skin is just too tender to put her through any more unnecessary pain. Should she have surviving babies, it will truly be a miracle. Big Dog Ranch Rescue saved her life. Today she is slowly but surely doing a bit better. Taya is eating, drinking, and moving around a bit. She is receiving pain medication and antibiotics to help prevent infection from her wounds. What Taya is receiving most is love, care, and compassion. In her less-than-two-year life, Taya has suffered tremendously at the hands of those entrusted to care for her. Here at the Ranch, we plan to help erase those dreadful memories and show her what true love and care is all about. Our staff has rallied around Taya and are loving her beyond measure. In case you are watching the local news this evening, please tune in for the chance to meet Taya. Channels 5, 12, and 25 have all been out to the Ranch to help share her story. Tayas fortunes sure have changed. From suffering in silence to having so many care about her now is just amazing. Many of you have probably recognized the name Taya. She has been named after Chris Kyles wife. Taya was the wife of a National American Hero. Taya has become our hero, too. Please consider helping towards Tayas medical care and recovery.
