A NEW COMER IN POLITICS I met an elder recently in my consultations and though he sounded pleased with my interaction and mastery of the issues, he left me with one poser which has kind of hunted me if you like, for want of a better word. In his words, you are a new comer in politics, so how far can you go? I am actually not a new comer in politics. I am just a new comer in the politics of Governorship. Incidentally our former and present Governor, were newcomers in the politics of the Governorship, when they ran and see the great works they have done. Even in Science, if you follow the history of inventions, whenever a new idea or way of looking at the world is introduced, despite all the proofs behind it, those who are entrenched in the old ways will fight to the death to preserve them. Yet the new idea or the new comer will prevail. I respect all our people and their varying views, but I am a proud new comer in the politics of the Governorship, with new ideas to take us to the next level in the keys areas of AGRICULTURE, TOURISM AND INFRASTRUCTURE, with emphasis on human capital development and wealth creation.
