A NEW DAWN BECKONS AS NEWMAN DEMAS AKPORE GETS LP PARTY FLAG A new dawn now beckons for the good, but long-traumatized people of Ughelli North Constituency 1 as all is now set for them to vote for the long-awaited Labour Party candidate, Barr. Newman Demas Akpore as he gets Party Flag to contest and represent them in the Delta State House of Assembly, in the forth-coming February 28th 2015 general election. The release signed by Mr. Foster Akpore, the Director of Media & Publicity of the Newman Demas Akpore Campaign Organization states that the highly attended event occurred at the Warri Township Stadium where the high profile candidate was officially presented with the Labour Party flag, which represents the symbol of authority to start his campaign in ernest, having constituted his Campaign Organization two days earlier. In a rare display of affection and acceptance for the Labour Party and all their flag bearers at all levels across Delta State, the release further states saw an unprecedented number of Deltans hungry for change thronging the venue of the event as early as 7 am to experience, first hand, this epoch-making event. According to an eye-witness, Mr. Pius Onodjae, “Warri was practically shut down because of the event in order to catch a glimpse of the much-loved Chief Great Ogboru and Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege”. Earlier in the day, the trio of Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege, Hon. Efeni Akpovoka and Barr. Newman Demas Akpore, Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly candidates respectively of the Labour Party, before they were presented with their respective party flags, addressed a press conference at the Effurun GRA residence of Obaisi Omo-Agagege where they pledged to work hard with Great Ovedje Ogboru and other party flag-bearers across Delta State for the success of the party at the polls.
