A PLEA TO ALL GOOD SAMARITANS ... Office of the Governor Lagawe, Ifugao Province Sir: In behalf of the Ifugao Association, we wish to extend our warm greetings to you and your family for a joyful Christmas season. Thanks to facebook, we are always updated with your political progress and much concern for your people in Ifugao. This affinity that you showed towards them drive me to share an unfortunate incident that happen to one of our Ifugao members last Tuesday here in Canada. Maritess Comparativo Angana, the daughter of Felipe Comparativo of San Marcos Alfonso Lista, with head injuries due to a fall. On November 28, our community was saddened to hear that one of our members Maritess Angana was rushed to the Mckenzie Hospital on November 26 when her employer found her unconscious in the garage. She was later transferred to Toronto Western Hospital who specialize in head injuries. Because of the severity of her head injuries, the attending physicians urged her cousin (Vangie) to report it to the police. The injuries were more than just ordinary fall. It was not even snowy at that time so the incident of a fall is very suspicious. Right now, an autopsy is being performed and the incident is under police investigation. She died last Monday, she has no life insurance as she’s only been here 4 months ago. The Ifugao Association here in Canada is asking help from the community and other groups to assist financially in repatriating her body. The Philippine Consulate apparently does not have any funds unless the government in the Phillipines send them some. x x x The parents are at lost at the moment hence we are asking your help from your office to assist Maritess Angana’s parents in this time of need.
