A PRIVATE EXPERIENCE! Quickly, i nimbled to the lounge, down the narrow aisle way; Doctor! doctor!! doctor!!! the sound which my clogged larynx allowed was something in betweeen fright and feverish despair, i was heavily dazed by the thought of death. within a space of seconds, i teared back whence i came - the emergency unit. i watched helplessly my own father writhing in pain, not just pain but perhaps the state in which youd imagine a costruction of bargain for life, the 50-50 of life and death.Ouch! so precarious. mum was already drowned in tears, there was a little exagerated madness with the way she prayed to God for an instant miracle. I couldnt help her either, we both were in sheer peril. A glance at the wall clock, it was almost a quarter to 4:am,the world was still, dark and silent while we were dying. I made to pray but there was no strenght nor faith left in me, the frailty of my sinews from the vigil was snaping up on me. Then came the doctor and a wench claded in white; the nurse i belive, they both stroded in, in utter hurry. He made a hurried examination, in his (Dad) eye balls, his cheeks, his palms and feet, here, there, all over him.Then he made a face, pouted and muttered something to the nurse. what is it doctor?, is he alright? is my husband alright?, talk to me doctor, why is he calm?, what is........ Mum and i barraged him with questions though my own voice a little muffled. Mum became aware before me the ugly unacceptable and flung herself down, crying, cursing, praying and writhing on the floor. I was such in a frenzy that my tears-gland froze, i willed myself to cry but there were no tears. The nurse made to cover him with an apparel which i flung aside, for i thought that would make him dead, dead to death.for the seeming fact before me i could not bear. the agony was too acute. 20th August 2013 was private!
