A Package Size post edit occurs when the quantity dispensed on a prescription is not equal to, or a multiple of, the package size. If an item that should not normally be broken down (Vial, Tube, etc.) is filled with an incompatible dispensed size, a Package Size pre and post edit is triggered. Filling with the wrong size can cause a significant loss of profit and possibly trigger an audit. To correct a Package Size post edit, reverse the claim and correct the dispensed quantity. The quantity dispensed should match the package size. The most common Package Size post edits are liquids and creams. Enter “1p”, “2p”, etc. at the Prescribed Quantity field for PioneerRx to automatically populate the correct package size quantity. Note: Package size issues may also appear under Low Profit, Cash Limited, or Base Limited, especially if your item and catalog item are not set up correctly. This includes dispensing units such as grams, mils, and eaches.
