A Penny Carey update. Penny had surgery this morning about 11:00. The surgery was to amputate her right foot up to just below her knee. The surgery went well but all of her heel pad and dying tissue was removed last week. Nothing more could be done to save her foot. Shell be fitted for a prosthetic when healing is complete. Shes been a very brave young woman. At this time I dont know anymore details. Her left foot wasnt as badly damaged and previously thought so that is very good news. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Ill keep you posted when I know something.
