A Prayer A Day - 3/06/2014 The Virtuous Woman, Are You One? PLEASE SHARE THIS PRAYER TODAY! Todays Scripture(s) - Ruth3:11 (Read the Book of Ruth) And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doeth know that thou art a virtuous woman. Virtuous - conforming to moral and ethical principles; morally excellent; upright; chaste; righteous. The word virtuous I have found to be in the Word of God 3 times. A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: .... (see Proverbs 12:4). Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Not every man can afford a virtuous woman and not every man deserves to have a virtuous woman. The Lord had me to read the book of Ruth this morning. Those of you who have ever read the book of Ruth know that Ruth was the daughter in law of Naomi. Naomi had two sons who married, Naomis husband had died in Moab and her sons also died in Moab and Naomi decided to go back to Bethlehem-Judah her home town. Her daughters in law started out with her, but she told them to go back to their mothers house, And they lifted up their voice and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law, but Ruth clave unto her. (Ruth 1:14), Orpah went back but ....Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: (Ruth 1:6). Ruth must have watched her mother in law closely and she listened to all that Naomi said and followed her leading. Ruth herself saw that Naomi was a virtuous woman and apparently patterned herself after the ways of Naomi. Ruth cared for and loved her mother in law and she did all that Naomi instructed her. Naomi was a woman of God. Many of todays women unfortunately are not virtuous woman, they want a Boaz but they dont show themselves to be a Ruth. Lets look at the qualities of Ruth, she wasnt lazy (Ruth 2:2,7). She was meek and humble (Ruth 2:10). She was thoughtful (Ruth 2:18). She was obedient (Ruth 3:5). She didnt run around chasing men (Ruth 3:10). Boaz will never take notice of a Delilah (read about Samson). (We will talk more about Him another day.) We have too many Delilahs running around and the Delilahs want Boaz but you see Boaz wants Ruth. The woman of virtue does not hang out at the clubs. The woman of virtue is not lazy and does not lie around all day doing nothing. The woman of virtue is wise and takes care of herself and when she has a family she takes care of her family. The woman of virtue is strong and she can carry her own and she doesnt want or need a man for material possession, but rather she wants and needs a man that can and will enhance her and she him. (Read about the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:10-31). Mothers raise up your daughters to be Ruths teach them about the Lord, show them how to be a real lady it starts early. What you put into them is what you will glean. Make them into virtuous woman for a virtuous womans price is far above rubies is high in value and not just any ole man can afford to have her. Todays Prayer: Father I bless you this day and praise you and honor you with all my heart. I thank you Father for your love and your kindness to me. I thank you Father for keeping watch over me as I slumbered and slept, I thank you Father God for providing all that I have need of I thank you Father for your love and your kindness your mercy and your grace. Thank you Father God for all things, Father I ask today that you would raise up the virtuous woman that is within me and all of my sisters in YOU. Help us to be the woman that you made us to be. Help us who are married to be virtuous woman that take care of our families and that hold ourselves in high esteem not only for our sakes but for the sake of our love ones, bless the work of our hands and lead and guide our footsteps, dont allow us to be busybodies, gossips or lazy do nothing woman. Help us Father to be virtuous woman that are about our own business and doing what is pleasing in your eyes Father, about doing what is right and true. We will not make ashamed and we will not be scornful or scorners, we will not take part in filth and we will watch and guard what comes out of our mouths, we will fill our hearts with your Word Lord and we will walk in obedience to you with a meek and humble heart. Help us who are single to be virtuous woman that take care of ourselves and hold ourselves in high esteem. Lord we will not run to and fro, we will not be loud and boisterous we will be thoughtful and courteous and watchful, we will be virtuous women dedicated to you Father God and we will keep our eyes firmly and squarely set and fixed on you Lord, fill us with your Word, Help us Holy Spirit to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of our flesh, Help us Lord to keep ourselves and make ourselves ready for the Boaz you will surely send into our lives at the appointed time. Father I praise you and worship you and glorify your great name you are so great and so good and I give you all glory. Thank you Father for being so good to me; make each and every one of your daughters to be virtuous woman. Bless your holy name. In Jesus name I pray. Your word says that there is no other name under heaven by which a man or woman can be saved and that name is Jesus. Today I repent of every sin that I have ever committed, I repent of every sin that I have done and I ask you Jesus to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I believe that you Lord Jesus shed your precious blood and died for my sins, I am willing to turn from sin and live a life that is holy and pleasing in your sight. I now invite you Christ Jesus to come into my heart and live in me and be my personal Savior. I ask that you would fill me with your precious Holy Spirit, lead and guide me in this life Lord Jesus. Thank you for saving my soul. Amen.
