A Prayer For Wisdom In A World Gone Mad “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5 [NKJV] “If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it.” James 1:5 [MESSAGE] “Father God and Lord of All Wisdom and Understanding, of all Knowledge and Truth, You alone are truly Wise and You alone are Truth and the Giver of all Righteousness. Lord, today our nation, our cities, our communities, our homes, and our individual hearts and minds need Your intervention. Things are spiraling out of control at an alarming rate. We see it and yet many of us feel helpless to stop it. The wisdom of men has failed time and time again. People of good will and those of evil purpose seem to be sinning in an ever-widening circle of madness. So we desperately and earnestly turn to You, to Your Word to give us clarity, understanding, wisdom, and power to stem the tide of this overwhelming flood of arrogance, pride, evil, corruption, degeneracy, ungodliness and decadence that struts and parades itself without shame or constraint before the declaration of Your Holy mercy and compassion, devoid of all reason or awareness that their works of evil and darkness are leading them to the brink of death and hell. Save them Lord, save us, Lord. Rescue Your people from the snares of evil men and women with vile purposes who do not fear God nor honor His servants. Defend our righteous cause before the judges of this nation and grant Your people the wisdom from above to stand and keep on standing in the full armor of God; withstanding the wiles of the devil, resisting the temptations of the deceiver, fighting the good fight of faith. As we wage war against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, give us the victory to boldly proclaim to the whole world that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! Now, Father in Your name we stand. We will not be defeated and we will not shrink back nor cower in the face of resistance. We stand firm in Your righteousness. We stand strong in Your Word and faith. We believe and therefore we speak. LET RIGHTEOUSNESS PREVAIL OVER THIS NATION AND LET ALL WHO LOVE THE NAME OF THE LORD BOLDLY PROCLAIM THAT SALVATION IS FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST AND HIM ALONE. LET THOSE WHO TRUST IN GOD RISE UP AND LET THEIR LIGHTS SHINE BEFORE MEN THAT THEY MAY SEE THEIR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY THE FATHER IN HEAVEN! Father, in Jesus Christ You have made us more than conquerors, so we take hold of that truth and we strengthen our resolve to be all that You have empowered us to be and all that You have empowered us to do, to live our lives glorifying You in our words and our works. We can and we will do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We will win this war. We are the church of the living God, the body of Jesus Christ, a nation of kings and priests unto our God, a people set aside for His Holy purpose, that we might glorify The Lord God Almighty. Thank You Father. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Holy Spirit. In the strong and mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and King we pray. AMEN!”
