A System of Dishonor to gain control ...or innocent joking? If any note could be disharmonious throughout this GLORIOUS event, was it during Cate Blanchetts opening speech? I sat in pure wonder of her grace, powerful entrance and esteem as she was about to be admired even more! Then, a jolt of reality pierced my awe as she acknowledged her fellow nominees/colleagues?? Certainly Cate was undergoing a certain kind of pressure with the Woody Allen scandal. Ahhh, how unfortunate for her!! Was it necessary to acknowledge certain colleagues/nominees in such peculiar tones? Ahhh, I felt the admiration for her dwindle within me. What just came over me? Its ok, if Meryle Streep and Julia Roberts could keep their joy high...then...I would too(lol). I will also still support the success of Cate Blanchett. And, I hope that that the role models on stage truly give us a model to follow!!!
