A TV journalist shooting a report on a mugging in Oakland, California, was herself robbed Monday night, just feet from the police station. Somebody slipped into the KTVU news truck that Heather Holmes and her photographer had parked there, and made off with the reporters purse. Stunned, she took to Twitter to lament, Oh the irony of it all...while reporting on violent mugging, my purse is stolen. Thieves used my bank card 20 mins after swiping my bag. She followed that by posting, Credit cards now canceled. Locks changed. Lesson here... be aware of your surroundings at all times, including at police headquarters. The vehicle apparently wasnt locked, as the journalists were steps away from it.
