A Tale of three Mollys! Molly has a really cute story. Three years ago, our Animal Care Coordinator, adopted out a 10 year old sheltie named Molly to a nice couple who have had shelties for many years. They took Molly on despite her age and was a companion to their other sheltie, ALSO named Molly! Sadly, this past year they lost their little Molly after 16 years together. The now 13 year old (other) Molly needed a friend. When a 8 year old sheltie in poor health showed up at the Scituate Animal Shelter also named Molly, we knew who to call to see if they would be up for fostering. They said yes and the two Mollys got along great. Little Molly has a lot of medical issues that needed to be resolved. She had chewed her paws and her skin was extremely itchy and had a yeast infection. She had not been spayed so she had to have mammary growth removed as well as supplements for her hip dysplasia. She is now feeling much better and loves her daily walks in the woods with her new buddy! Were happy to announce that Molly is officially adopted and doing great!
