A Tasmanian emergency relief organisation is pleading for more donations as more families struggle to put food on the table. Demand for food welfare has risen in Tasmania as more people struggle to feed themselves and their families. But Foodbank Tasmania said it had turned down offers of fresh produce from the mainland due to quarantine restrictions. The charity was in the process of trying to fill Christmas hampers. Organisers said they would have to dip into their reserves to meet this years requirements.
