A Thanksgiving Message from Patricias Husband, Jorge: On this Thanksgiving day, I want to express Patricia’s and my deep sense of gratitude for your support and friendship. On November 21, she completed a full year in the stark 5 x 8 cell in which she is held 22 hours per day with the lights kept on continuously and where she sleeps on a slab of concrete covered by a thin mat. She is only allowed out into a slightly larger space for 2 hours a day, during which she must clean her cell, can take a shower, make a call and interact with only 7 other inmates. Yet, on this day, she wants all of you to know she feels she has much to feel thankful for. She feels thankful to be alive. She feels thankful that she was able to survive and give birth to our wonderful daughter Arianna. She feels thankful to count with your support, love and friendship. Your multiple expressions of support and understanding, your letters, your visits, your messages and your actions have given her the strength to face this ordeal. It is what makes her not waver in her conviction that the truth will prevail.
