A Tribute to Our NHW Patrollers To those on the Neighbourhood Watch patrol We thank you for putting us back in control Fathers, husbands, neighbours, young and old Sacrificing your comforts to walk in the cold People may ask if these men are totally insane Why would anyone patrol in the freezing rain? For while others are warmly tucked in their bed These heroes survey our area for crooks instead Some call them stupid, others call them brave With no obligation, each has become our slave There are other men who are too busy or scared But what would happen to us if nobody cared They patrol in Riverton looking for any stranger And to protect us from vandalism and danger Let’s support them and keep them in our prayer So they’ll know they not alone, for God is there They work to stop our area from being looted And should be applauded, thanked and saluted We know that they’ve already accomplish results But some residents still curse and throw insults Men of honour don’t be disheartened or be taken aback Keep your eyes on the vision and you will stay on track Our vision is to clear the community of crime and grime Your sacrifice is not in vain, it will be confirmed in time
