A U.S. veto will be the only thing standing in the way of a U.N. Security Council resolution creating a unilaterally imposed, non-negotiated Palestinian (i.e., Hamas) state -- the existence of which would place Israel in mortal existential danger and likely would trigger a regional war -- and a South African-style anti-Israel sanctions resolution that could destroy Israels economy. Will a lame-duck Obama adhere to longstanding U.S. policy and veto these coming resolutions during the last 2 years of his presidency? Or will Obamas personal hatred for the Jewish State cause the U.S. to abstain and thereby facilitate passage of these disastrous resolutions? In the latter event will U.S. Jews finally realize that Democrats, the party of the American Left, cannot be counted on to support Israel? And will that realization finally impact their votes in the 2016 election?
