A University of Alabama football fan allegedly shot and killed a fellow fan on Saturday after the teams dramatic loss to bitter in-state rival Auburn. Adrian Laroze Briskey, 28, was charged with murder for allegedly fatally shooting Michelle Shepherd, 36, in a Hoover, Ala. parking lot. According to the victims sister, Briskey was incensed that Shepherd was taking Alabamas loss in stride. In whats being described as perhaps the most incredible finish in the history of college football, the top-ranked Crimson Tide fell to the Tigers after a missed field goal was returned more than 100 yards for a touchdown with no time remaining. Attending a party for the football game, the Shepherd sisters joked that a loss by the reigning NBA champion Miami Heat would have been worse. That reportedly enraged Briskey. She said we werent real Alabama fans because it didnt bother us that they lost. And then she started shooting, the victims sister, Nekesa Shepherd, told the Associated Press.
