A Vulcan in Starfleet was a rare sight, for Vulcans tend to stay in their home planet, away from violence and emotions and secluded away as they thrived on knowledge and logic in the Science Academy. For no Vulcan had ever run away from the Science Academy to join Starfleet; no one but him. Spock was well known throughout Starfleet--throughout the Federation. He was brilliant; a genius mind that had worked to make Starfleet better. He had graduated from Starfleet Academy faster than anyone, and he had served as a professor, engineering the Kobayashi Maru for years. And it wasnt until recently that he had become First Officer of the USS Enterprise, and ultimately the Captain when Pike met his untimely death at the hands of the Romulans. Spock had taken the responsibility of the ship and all 480 crew members and thanks to his leadership the Romulans had been defeated. With Pike gone, Starlfeet Command had given the Enterprise to Spock, and had given him the mission all Starfleet captains had wanted since the project had first been mentions. The five hear voyage. Traveling to uncharted territory, deep space expeditions. That was what the Enterprise and her crew were prepping for right now. Captain, preparations are almost complete. Spock looked up from his pad to see Uhura. He nodded for a moment. Thank you, Lieutenant. The woman nodded and returned to what she was doing. Spock stood to the side, watching as they loaded the Enterprise and signed off on everything he needed for the five hear voyage.
