A Wonderful Humanitarian suggestion by Shri Hitesh Hindocha . Kashmir has borne the brunt of Natures fury.The impact was felt by every being ...human...animal...plant life......the artisans who work through out the year making shawls...sweaters ...embroidering fabric..... have been hit very severely......much of their wares have been lost in the floods.......These people come down to the planes and travel through out India selling their wares from October to March .....then they return home.... .Over the years many of us would have bought clothes,bags ,sarees and other knick knacks from these Feriwalahs......or hawkers....I for one have been buying from a family from the past 36 years.....The grandpa Mr Wani was a regular to our home and his arrival was eagerly awaited by our family.Today the third generation keeps us supplied with Kashmiri shawls...chadars ....kurtis......and at times gifts of walnuts and saffron too ! A wonderful suggestion to help these people out came from my Son-in-law Hitesh Hindocha of Chaarvi Boutique, Hyderabad. He feels this season we should buy Kashmiri items as much as possible. When a Kashmiri Feriwallah or hawker calls out at our door...please do not turn him away....Please buy at least one item from him...for yourself or for gifting during the festive season.....Dussehra.. Eid.......Diwali.....Christmas......New Year...there are oppurtunities galore ! It would be great if this time we did not bargain and just bought the items , so that our Kashmiri brothers could be helped !
