A Word From James Boyd Ministries: TOPIC: SPIRITUAL GIFTS (1 Corinthians 12) Have you ever had moments where you were able to do something extraordinary and unheard of by man but at the same time you were afraid to let anyone know or felt as though they wouldnt believe you? Well, believe it or not youre not as alone as you may think. The scripture tells us that God deposited spiritual gifts inside each and every one of his children. Even though we all may not have the same gifts, we must still keep in mind that they all came from God and so we must trust and believe that he gave us the exact gift(s) wed need to live our lives fulfilling his will. The bible says in 1 Corinthians 12:7-10, Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.. If you were to break that passage of scripture down verse by verse, youd end up with a list of these spiritual gifts including: the gifts of supernatural wisdom and knowledge, the gift of healing, the gift of prophecy, the gift of distinguishing between spirits, the gift of speaking and interpreting tongues. So, you see its not unusual to be able to do things many others cant. These gifts arent something to be ashamed of. If they were, God wouldnt have gave them to us in the first place. We need to be in tune with God as much as possible so that well be better equipped and prepared to use our spiritual gifts when the time comes. Dont let this world make you hide your spiritual gifts because they came from God not the world. These gifts from God are his blessings to you. Now, what you do with them are your blessings back to him.
