A beautiful, heartfelt moment at CHOP on Thursday: On the 10th anniversary of their wedding, parents Nicole and Hugh renewed their vows in the N/IICU room where their daughter Abigal has lived most of her 7 months. Surrounded by their children throughout the ceremony, Hugh surprised Nicole with a diamond ring, and she surprised him by singing. They presented each of their six children with a silver cross necklace as a reminder that faith will get you through hard times, and let each child know that mom and dad will always be here for them. After the ceremony, they enjoyed a Wedgwood-inspired cake (a highlight of the day for 3-year-old Gabrielle!) with a dragonfly to symbolize George, their son who passed away. “It hasn’t always been easy,” Hugh said to his bride of their 10 years together, “But I would do it all over again.” Congratulations, Nicole and Hugh!
