A belated happy Mothers Day to all the mammies I know. I will never forget my auld wans ability to make me laugh at stuff you shouldnt laugh at and Mothers Day last year is another example. Wed a nice family lunch out but Neil forgot to bring along the card from the three of us, so he quietly popped it on the hall table at home for me to sign when I got home. I got home, hours passed, I forgot all about the card until Mam chirps up and laughs: Would you ever go up and sign that fecking Mothers Day card as I wont be around for another one! Im not doing it justice, you probably had to be there. But it was a great mix of sadness and laughter, and typical of the irreverent sense of humour from the most fantastic of mothers, who even in her most trying last few months always lived life with a smile and had the warmest of hugs for all her kids and grandchildren, and made the darkest of times bright.
