A big Happy Birthday to my great grand father Jess Taanakwari and my Kwaah Alden! Very special occasions for our Seweyestewa family. My great grand father has been gone for many years but it is because of him that we have the blessings we have every year, our fields. My great grandfather said that a family draws their strength from eating from their homegrown food. The dedication of our hard working Seweyestewa men amazes me. They work in our fields in extreme heat, wind, rain or shine. Im so thankful for them and the fresh food that sustains our family year around. I truely believe the words of my grandfather. My Kwaah Alden goes above and beyond to show his love for us and his community. I love them both very much Happy Birthday Jessy Kwaah and Kwaah Alden Reed! If you see him around the village wish him a Happy Birthday :) 69 years young!
