A big congratulations to the recipients of the second annual Harrisonburg Police Foundation Police Recognition Awards! Each of the five individuals was selected from among nominations that were made by the individual’s peers in the department. The nominations were reviewed by an outside panel of judges who are not part of the Harrisonburg Police Department. They alone selected the awardees. The individuals selected by the judges display the department’s core values of integrity, professionalism, commitment to the rule of law and justice, and dedication to keeping Harrisonburg safe and strong. All of them have distinguished themselves in areas of leadership, service to the community, and excellence in performance, and their contributions are felt and deeply appreciated.
