A bipartisan amendment to the now defunct FARM Bill that would have guaranteed a state’s right to make its own decision regarding the legalization of industrial hemp was approved by the House on Thursday morning. Despite the drawback resulting from the rejection of the FARM bill by the House on Thursday afternoon, this amendment shows a growing consensus in DC in favor of allowing states to legalize industrial hemp. Currently, out of the 31 states that have introduced pro-industrial hemp bills, 19 have passed the legislation. Would you support the legalization of industrial hemp in your state? Why or why not?
