A bit upset today. My shortbreads burnt. This is the first time ever happened. I have baked times plenty as they were well-liked. Even the Scots praised the shortbreads I baked and I have been so proud. Shortbreads are sort of a national identity for Scotland. I usually used the big gas oven but this time tried a smaller electric bench-top oven. And without thinking I did not adjust the temperature. Whose fault? mine or the oven?
