A blessed, beautiful Thanksgiving to everyone; and joyouw Chanukkah to my special Jewish friends, particularly my Jewish soulmate. I am incredibly blessed and moved by the ways people show compassion and love. I was so blessed to receive my third award this year: Mentor of the Year Award by the Society of Biblical Literature and the Committee on the Status of Women in the Profession in Baltimore at the Anual meting of the American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature. Earlier this year, I received the Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award from the National Alumni Association, Shaw University, during the Garnet and White Banquet during Homecoming, October; and received the Bishop Empowerment Award for Meritorious Service to the Church and Community, the late Senior Bishop Thomas L. Hoyt, Jr., Presiding Prelate, Seventh Episcopal District in July. I am humbled, overjoyed, moved. May each of you be blessed to be a blessing. A joyous Thanksgiving!!!!
