A brief will be prepared for the Coroner following the death of a man on the Mid North Coast today (Saturday 19 April 2014). About 8.30am, emergency services responded to reports of a capsized boat and three people in the water at North Haven. Police have been told the 12-foot fishing boat flipped in rough water at the mouth of the Camden Haven Inlet, throwing its three occupants – two men and a girl – overboard. All three were wearing lifejackets. One man and the child made it to shore, but a man in his 60s died before he could be rescued. Police are investigating the incident, and will prepare a brief for the Coroner.
