A busy, cool Saturday. Great crowd at the Michigan African-American Alliance where it was clear people are feeling passionate about the November 4 election. Joined Mayor OReilly for the 5th annual Zaman Walk for Humanity in Dearborn where temperatures did not keep runners or walkers away. Joined Trenton Mayor Kyle Stack at Victory Day at Trenton High School where the stands were crowded with enthusiastic members of the downriver community of many generations. It was good to chat with Trenton High School Principal Mike Doyle. From there I was off to join Riverview Mayor Tim Durand at the Paws in the Park event....ended up judging dogs! Hope I did a good job. Chilly weather didnt dampen the crowds mood or support of the cause. On to Ann Arbor to enjoy game day before some meetings. Tonight several more events. I must say I am not ready for this cool weather. The Farmers Almanac may be right in predicting another cold winter.
