A call to the UK Scout Youth Council and other information UK Scout Youth Council: You Shape On the 7 February 2015, there will be a preliminary event called You Shape for 14-25 year olds to have an input on how they want their UK Scout Youth Council to function. This event will be limited to 120 young people, with a digital platform for all young people across the country to also get involved in the day, and have their voices heard. The objective is to ensure that the UK Scout Youth Council is created by young people for young people, with support from my team. Further communications will be out soon, but so you are prepared for this announcement: The event will be held in central London from 10:00 to 16:00 on 7 February 2015. The exact venue details and further information about the day will follow in early 2015. Please encourage young people in your county to get involved by applying to attend, or by joining us online. Bookings can be made via this link. The onus is on getting people there who are passionate about youth empowerment. As this is not a Youth Council meeting, physical representation of each County/Area/Region is not guaranteed, however we will ensure there is a fair distribution of regional attendance from across the UK. Furthermore, involvement is encouraged through the digital platform. Support from Counties/Areas/Regions in supporting those members who do wish to attend is encouraged. As part of the Vision 2018 our view is to become more connected and guided by the young people in our sections I have set up a form for explorer to able to subscribe to receive information emails like this one directly.
