A childhood memory returns to the neighborhood. A home at the corner near us has huge windows on two sides of the living room. I have a large bay window in front of me looking out towards that house. Growing up during the holidays we would wait for the McLeod family to put up their Christmas tree for all to see. Some 10 yrs ago Mrs. McLeod passed away. The house had been vacant for many years. It was sold last year to a couple who have retired here from Ohio. Tonight to my surprise I looked up as the new owners lit their tree in those very same windows. It is no where near as large as what the McLeods would put up but it sure brought a smile to my face.
