A comment left under the original post: Jakub Lopatowski- A better way to do it is by twisting off the top. You then get the leaves themselves. Peel off about 5 layers of leaves from the bottom to expose roots. Leaves should be pulled off to the side. Never straight down as it may damage the roots that have already grown. Put it in some water for about two weeks until you get new root growth. It is then ready to be planted in a pot...
