A couple of Myths and facts to think about . *Myth...Rescue rabbits always have health problems because they have been mistreated and generaly die young. *Fact ..one of my own rabbits who was one of our first rescue found dumped in a box is now a healthy 10 yr old *Myth...Rescues dont get baby rabbits *Fact ...Right at this moment here at Barc we have 4 gorgeous young lops who were born here when mum arrived as a stray. They will be neutered before being rehomed. *Myth...Rescue rabbits always have behaviour problems due to mistreatment. *Fact...yes some rescue rabbits have behaviour problems . But here at Barc we work with these animals to rehabilitate them and most go on to be well adjusted bunnies suitable to be rehomed . If not they stay here with us . *Myth...Rescue rabbits are all mixed up breeds . If I want a particular breed I will have to go to a breeder . * Fact... Here at Barc we get lops, frenchies, giants , salanders , lionheads , lionlops . angoras , netherland dwarfs , Himilayan, californian ,Rexes , dutch and of course mixes of the above. Be patient and look around and your favourite breed will turn up in rescue somewhere .
