A couple of months ago Francis broke our external hard drive that has over 200 movies on it .. He said he accidentally moved one of the program files into a different folder as he was sorting alphabetically - we paid to have someone look at it to be told he could try and fix it but would cost so and so and would lose a lot of data and didnt know if it would work - last night I went through CMD as an administrator and ran chkdsk and converted the files from a FAT data file to NFTS which re-wrote the file names therefor creating a new file pathway to open the hard drive.. This morning when I checked up on it the hard drive is in perfect condition with every single movie and not one piece of data lost! What a waste of money the tech was.
