A couple of thoughts that I have been mulling over. 1. Since my move I have started discovering more about myself than I expected. I found a close friend who I talk with about things and who encourages me to try new things and think in new ways. I just wanted him to know Im grateful. 2. I have many friends who are police officers. I encourage you to get to know one before you post anything negative about cops. I know there are some who tarnish the badge. Every profession has those people. But the majority of police officers are good people who do the job to help people. In other words, think twice before bashing them all. 3. Gun ownership is a right. Flame me if you must but I have changed on this subject. While I still feel we need background checks, I believed that if you want to own and carry a gun you should be able to do so. What we really need is a greater concentration on identifying those who need mental help. Doing so can/will show up on the background check and help prevent them from getting a gun. That doesnt mean something bad, only that if we can get these people help, gun violence will drop. Not go away, but drop. And yes, when I go out to some of these remote locations I have a 45 on my hip. 4. I actually do have effs (yes I censored myself to a degree) to give. I will tell you openly I have them. However, I am not just handing them out anymore. There are things and people who I care about and I will pick and choose who I give an eff about. Dont get all bent out of shape if I dont give one about something or to someone. I have spent way too long caring or worrying about what I can not change. If you need a further explanation, you must have missed point 1. Thats all for now.
