A couple weeks ago I grouped up 2 weeks worth of days off and was able to get away for a few days. I got quite a lot of responses wishing me well on my vacation (it wasnt vacation but thank you!). Now comes the time for you to cry foul as I announce my actual vacation coming up next week. Whats the difference? Well the LAPD has a strange procedure that officers must take their vacation within an assigned 4 week period all at once. Between regular scheduled days off, vacation days, and a few hours from my overtime bank Ill be gone from Sept 9th until Oct 5th! If you need me to handle something before I disappear for a while, please contact me right away. Otherwise my last day will be the West Hills Neighborhood Watch meeting on Sept 8th at Topanga Station. With nearly 2700 members here, Im hoping to see a nice turnout.
