A daughters reflections on Bob Currie, by Robin Currie: Being a spectator while Dad coached my brother’s hockey and baseball teams was a valuable experience. This is where Bobby and I learned the art of leadership by coaching, by developing others, and by strategically playing on the strengths of the individuals to create success for the team. Sometimes tempers would flare, coaches would argue, Dad would chase the referee around on the ice a few times, but he would always tell us afterwards, with a grin: “that’s just part of the game”. As I reflect on those times now, I see these lessons carrying over to his clients. That same intensity must apply to the dealership. Are you in the game, or out of the game? Are you ready to play the game to win?
