A discussion the prohibition of slavewomen wearing hijad led to the question: in what way is the slavery of men affected? The answer is simple: money. But not a simplistic "money is the root of all evil" or "men are overwhelmed with love of the dunya" answer. The real business here is the issuance of money. For the right wing, they want to take the power to issue money back from the banks and return it to the state. The truth is that no one should have the power to issue money. Once you grant anyone that power, they automatically dictate to the rest of society, whether overtly or covertly and thus everyone becomes slaves.
