A doctor entered the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in hurry - TopicsExpress

A doctor entered the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery. He come rushing soon after the call and went straight to the theatre room. He found the boys father walking up and down the corridor waiting for the doctor. Once seeing him, the dad yelled: Why did you take all this time to come? Dont you know that my sons life is in danger? Dont you have the sense of responsibility? The doctor smiled and said: I am sorry, I wasnt in the hospital and I came the fastest I could after receiving the call...... And now, I wish youd calm down so that I can do my work Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now, would you calm down? If he dies would you calm down?? Asked the father angrily. The doctor smiled again and replied: I will say what Job said in the Holy Book From dust we came and to dust we return, blessed be the name of God. Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go and intercede for your son, we will do our best by Gods grace Giving advises when were not concerned is so easy Murmured the father. The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy, Thank goodness!, your son is saved! And without waiting for the fathers reply he carried on his way running. If you have any question, ask the nurse!! Upon seeing the nurse the father queried: Why is the doctor so arrogant. He couldnt even wait some minutes so that I ask about my sons state The nurse answered, with tears coming down her face: His son died yesterday in a road accident, he was at the burial when we called him for your sons surgery. And now that he saved your sons life, he left running to finish his sons burial ceremony. Many times we are so quick to judge... Lets pause for a moment and try understand how our friends lives are, because you never know what theyre going through.
